Chris Abell is a writer and filmmaker from Toronto, Canada, with a background in Film Theory and English Literature. His passion for filmmaking quickly took him from studying the craft to picking up a camera and working within Toronto’s thriving film industry.

          After dedicating himself to independent short films, Abell made the leap into feature filmmaking. In the years that followed, he continued to refine his craft across a diverse range of productions, including corporate films, wedding cinematography, and digital content creation, developing a distinct approach to visual storytelling along the way.

Writing has always remained at the heart of Abell’s creative work. He is the author of three original novel series: Reliance, The Damned, and Hell Cell. The first novel in each series has been published, with their respective sequels set for release in 2027.

          Whether working on the page or behind the camera, Abell continues to create original stories rooted in a lifelong passion for filmmaking, writing, and the art of storytelling.
